As a Partner at Ananda he mainly takes care of investment opportunities in DACH, Benelux and the Nordics. Bernd is deeply interested in innovations in Healthcare, Nature, AgTech, Energy, and Circularity sectors.
Before joining Ananda more than 10 years ago, Bernd has been on the entrepreneurial side himself and was working in finance and management for over ten years. After his PhD at the University of Bayreuth, he began his career at McKinsey & Company with a primary focus on financial institutions and change management.
He was part of the team who founded PlanetHome, an innovative finance and property service provider. Bernd was the CEO of PlanetHome for more than six years and helped the company scale and ultimately become the leading B2B-Partner in the placement and financing of private properties, with over 500 employees in 80 locations in Germany and Austria.
